Tomorrowland marks yet another dreamy release by Disney this year. Like every Disney film, this one too has some magic, with some reality, but just not as much. In this one ride, you keep switching between the past, the future, the possibilities and the realities.

With anon- linear narrative, the film begins with Frank Walker (George Clooney) and Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) hinting the audience of something big that's in store, just before they get started with their backstories.

Frank, a young bright boy tries to impress David (Hugh Laurie) with his scientific genius, only to find and develop a liking for his assistant, Athena. Years later, Casey, a young, determined, bright and an extremely optimistic teenager is introduced to 'Tomorrowland' by the turn of her destiny through the pin badge. She is absolutely smitten by this wonderland.

After her first few encounters, Casey meets Athena and begins to unravel the plot. Taking it further, Casey meets an old, dejected Frank to find out the truth. By now, the Earth is facing seriously environmental damages, there is climate change, man made disasters, destructions, heading right towards apocalypse.

Athena thinks Casey can change the world. Frank comes to believe it. David doesn't want to believe it, because he is the one planting despair.

Who will win?

The film gets bumpy through it's way. Sometimes dull, sometimes dragged, sometimes less impactful. You got to love Clooney in every frame for adding the charm and humor to liven up the air. There's a lot of unsaid, unravelled and untouched grey area.

Hugh Laurie could've been utilized better. But Robertson does a great job along with Cassidy. The visuals are grand, but the narrative is confusing. Yet, the beauty of the film is balancing it's way through the magical dreams and the real issues.

If you want to reinstate the power of optimism and hope, if you want to teach the same to your kids, you can't miss this film for sure. There's a lot of power in goodness. The film promises to show you the glimpse of every ounce of it.

It's a little difficult, yet very honest attempt at creating a 'Tomorrowland', where you really want to be! :)
