Fiends not Friends.

I am sure there are kids out there ..and not just Zac Efron fans who are going to head out this weekend to watch We Are..the same kids who will most probably gush over Shetty et Pancholi Jr. offering this Friday. Either way thank God for the 80s which showed us how the Great American Dream and Angsty Indian Love was done.

So Efron is a young man with a big dream and even bigger dead weights ( friends, life) to drag around as he pursues his aspiration to be The DJ with The Track. Nothing we haven't seen other guys throwing around the F word, doing dead end jobs in the morning for Mr High Cheek Bones, stowing away their savings under their bed, encountering a potential Svengali in the evening. If the use of primary pop colours, and lousy lines weren't dragging this film down ( and hello that mockumentary stalling the scene for power points..REALITY BITES already took a chunk of that) the censor's quick scissors to lines and that 'smoking kills" PSA in the lousiest font over just took a steam roller to any hope to this film would ever *lousy pun alert* rise to the occasion.
Why would anyone sit through the movie? Good looking people. Emily Ratajkowski wing eyeliner. All those gorgeousness cheekbones. Taking bets on whether Zac's character will succumb and play that sucky * insert pop culture* track.
I give this a meh..anything that gets you in from the relentless Delhi heat..two and a half stars.
