Verdict - forget Jack, forget Jill say yeah! To Al Pacino.

    Jack & JillWatch trailerRelease date : November 25, 2011

I have never been an Adam Sandler fan but i like him on and off. The last time i really loved his movie was 'you dont mess with the zohan'. Here there are two of them and one is in a drag. But for me Al Pacino in the trailer was the catch why i was looking forward to Jack and Jill.

What's it about? - Jill (Adam Sandler) is coming over for thanksgiving to stay with her twin brother Jack ( Adam Sandler). Jack doesn't like Jill but he has to get Al Pacino to do a dunkin donuts ad and the only person who can make it happen is Jill because Pacino has a liking for her.

Does it work for me - yes

Why? - the writing is genuinely funny and not trying to be funny. It's filled with fart jokes and slapstick humour with some funny lines thrown in. The script spends a lot of time in establishing Jill's character so if Sandler in drag doesn't work for you the film will fall flat. There is also the recent India fascination in the form of Gary ( Rohan Chand) who plays Jack and Erin's ( Katie Holmes) adopted son.For me Al Pacino making a complete mockery of himself is what made the film laugh out loud funny. I don't remember when was the last time Pacino did comedy. There is also a cameo of a hollywood star wearing a Justin Bieber t shirt. I wont name him to spoil the surprise. The opening credits about real twins talking about each other sets the right connect to the sibling love thing the film deals with. Generally hollywood comedies don't make me laugh much but this one did made me laugh here and there. If you are a Sandler fan or a Pacino fan you can't miss this one.

Final few words - forget Jack, forget Jill say yeah! To Al Pacino.
