Remember the boy in Udaan who managed to be the highlight of the film despite having a brilliant actor like Ronit Roy beside him? We are talking about Rajat Barmecha who played the character of Rohan. The film revolved around him and he did complete justice to the role of a boy who is expelled from school and is forced to work for his strict and abusive father at his factory. An writer at heart, he has to find ways to liberate himself and in the process sets his half brother free as well. Rajat Barmecha stunned us all with his measured and nuanced performance.

With its release 8 years back, Bollywood buffs knew that they have found a talent who would be cherished and hoped that they will be rewarded with the same kind of beautiful cinema. Cut to 2018. How many us even remember Rajat Barmecha? If you went Rajat who, then it isn't your fault. The fault probably lies with Bollywood when thw industry has no place for a talent like him.
Well, he did appear in a film though two years back. It was called Warrior Savitri that marked the debut of Niharika Raizada who will be seen this year's Total Dhamaal. The film was a B grade film where all Rajat had to do want to stupid stuff and make out with the actress. Here's a sneak peek:
Rajat had also been a part of a web series called Girl In the City. He plays the liver turned friend of the lead actress, Mithila Palkar.
But do we really not have any place for someone like Rajat in the film industry while we have given numerous chances to starlets like Sooraj Pancholi or a Jacky Bhagnani?
