Kangana Ranaut is always all over the news. While she does not always reign the headlines because of her films, she seems to be controversy (and internet’s) favourite child. Even now, for a long time, she is trending all over the internet, thanks to her interviews and shows. She has not been frightened to speak up her mind, and that has often made infamous. In fact, she has already earned the ire of so many actors, directors and crew members because of the statements she has given.
Now with the release of Simran, she is all set to rule the screen once again. But this film is crucial for her in so many ways. Let us have a look at why Simran is a make or break film for Kangana Ranaut:
1. She has not given a hit in a long time
The last hit film that Kangana delivered was Tanu Weds Manu Returns that released back in 2015. After that, she has had a series of three consecutive flops in these 2 years- I Love N.Y, Katti Batti and Rangoon. Given the flop streak that Kangana had, this film is extremely crucial in her career.
2. She has been making headlines for her statements and it’s high time she does it as an actress
Kangana is no doubt one of the best actresses of the industry. She has terrific acting skills and she has proved time and again that she is an actress rather than a star. But given the controversies she has always been surrounded in, it is high time that she reinforces herself and makes some buzz for her acting.
3. The trailer looked very close to Kangana’s real life personality, so people have sky- high expectations
The trailer felt more like the story of Kangana Ranaut than of Simran. With so much buzz still going on because of Kangana’s statements, people are expecting to see something out of the world. With more expectations, the film can either make all satisfied or fall flat in the face.
4. The plus points
The film seems to have a very relatable storyline. It is also said to be based on the real life incident. On top of that, the film seems to have a strong content, coupled with the star performer Kangana Ranaut. The film has been directed by Hansal Mehta who has made films like Shahid and Aligarh. There is every chance for the film to strike a chord with the audiences and hopefully, it will.
