Actress Karen Gillan has recently stated that she is a pretty awkward person in her real life. The actress who is currently busy with her upcoming film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, a sequel to the film Jumanji. The actress will be seen portraying commando Ruby Roundhouse in the film.
The 29-year-old said that she in real life is more like her alter-ego's avatar Martha Schwartz, who is a shy bookworm. She said, “Honestly, I'm Martha. I completely understand why I was cast in this role because I'm a pretty awkward person in general”. The story of the movie revolves around a group of teenagers in detention who find the mysterious titular game and are sucked inside.
She further added, “But I keep getting cast in these kicka** roles, so I just honestly feel like it's so close to my life”. The film has been scripted by Spider-Man: Homecoming co-writers Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers as well as Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. It is set to release on December 20th.
