Jug Jugg Jeeyo: Anil Kapoor Confirms Testing Negative For COVID-19 After Co-Stars Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor Test Positive

The shoot of Jug Jugg Jeeyo had been going on in Chandigarh, where the cast had flown down few weeks back. But now, it has hit a roadblock. Few members of the cast and crew, including Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and director Raj Mehta, have contracted COVID-19 despite strict safety precautions being followed on sets. It was also being said that Anil Kapoor, who has been paired opposite Neetu, has also tested positive. While some reports said his reports came positive, some said it was negative. Now, the actor himself cleared the confusion.

Taking to his social media, he clarified that he has not tested positive for the novel coronavirus and is fine. He wrote, "In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes." See the tweet here:

Kiara Advani, who plays the leading lady, and Prajakta Koli, who would make her Bollywood debut with the film, have also tested negative. The shoot has been halted, of course. The film is slated for 2021 release and it is being produced by Dharma Productions. We wish for a speedy recovery of those who have been affected.
