A petition against Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan about his ‘growing intolerance’ comment has finally been dismissed by the Chattisgarh High Court. The complaint was filed by one Dipak Diwan who alleged that the actor’s comments led to communal disharmony and filed a complaint under Section 153A and 153B of the Indian Penal Code.
On Monday a single bench of Justice Sanjay K Agrawal dissolved the revision petition calling it "meritless" and "substanceless." The petition was in reference to an interview Aamir gave in 2015 were he spoke about the growing intolerance in the country and how his wife Kiran once suggested that they should leave the country.

“When I sit at home and talk to Kiran, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day", Aamir had said in the interview.
A report on the portal Live Law qoutes the bench’s verdict on the case saying, "I do not find any merit in the instant petition. It deserves to be and is accordingly dismissed, being substanceless and meritless as well.”
