“Bewakoofiyaan is moderately watchable due to Rishi Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana but the script acts the spoilt sport. While the first half is entertaining, the bewakoofi in the second half isn't amusing.”

It had to happen. The Angry Young Man is now the pateras familias, the Baaghban if you will of the Baabul, runningthe gurukul that is Hamari Parampara . Sonam Kapoor is now confident enough to sign on for her bikini debut. In fact you can see an air of finality about her Chirpiness Comes In Three Expressions Now person as she steps out of that throw. So it is no wonder that the world is now prepared for That Sparkle in The eyes Lift In That Step that vowed PURDAH NASHEEN KO BEPURDAH NA KAR DOON to bring down the shutters on young love.

Rishi Kapoor plays the stern Govt of India Secretary About Delhi who is approaching retirement years and a transfer to Department of Animal Husbandry the same day as his financial whiz of a daughter has agreed to marry a fast talking marketing executive. Fast talking Marketing Exec with a brand new automatic car on EMI and a gold card ( credit limit :3 lakh; Girlfriend Ji has platinum with credit limit of 4--but is pe unho ne kabhi gharoor nahi kiya) works in the airline industry so yes unke piyar ka plane ka takeoff se pehle hi GROUNDED. So ( no surprises here) the movie revolves around making sure that his probationary period of getting into Daddy's Good Books is not ruined by this Breaking News. Yes, the movie touches upon children earning more in a month that a generation did in their lifetime, about consumerism till credit statements do us apart, yes the movie is refreshing as it is the female protagonist against a slow montage of Abroad Land ki Shining Lights listening to soulful songs till it dawns upon her kai love is love. But the Devil continues to live in the details and there is a lot of that around that irks me. Bari Hot Lagti Ho Tum Ko Khaa Jaoonga as "your" thing? A father who will maintain a dossier on his son-in-law to be, going through his PAN card history and never ever catching on to that knuckle duster of an engagement ring his daughter is sporting, HELLO?!!

Yes, I am glad that the movie kind of picked up after the interval (ironically when the couple split up---Im guessing it is because I could concentrate on Rishi Kapoor) and I loved the movie ended the way it did. But to recommend it over a second (or third) repeat viewing of QUEEN. Bewaqoofi hii hogi.
