The story of hatred between two bunch of siblings within a family. One of nature's masterpieces, this is a family that eats together, prays together, lives together and a family 'that can't stand each other'.

“Worth it if you like this franchise. The film is 2 hours of fultoo masti.”

One actor who I dont get tired of watching is Sanjay Misra. His paapaa act in 123 or just chill dhondu in All The Best has become part of my vocabulary. In this one he spells words differently so Haar becomes HIV and please becomes PUC.

I was dreading the fact that this film has lifted its plot from one of my all time favorite films Khatta Meetha, like Golmaal 2 was Aaj ki Taaza Khabbar. So I entered the theatre reminding myself not to compare this one with the original. G3 divides its actors into two groups and most of the film is filled with gags about them fighting each other. This becomes the first half of the movie. In the second half the director gets both the parents married to each other so that they can continue with their Tom and Jerry act. What you get then is one gag after another that includes Johnny Lever in Ghajini & Mimicry mode, Mithun doing a parody of his own 70s films including dancing to I am a disco dancer. Shreyas doing a hakla act which has lost its novelty value and the humor. Kareena Kapoor switching between being a tom boy and a normal girl and hurling abuses like Bhenchik & Choosiyo (you know what that means). Tushaar Kapoor besides continuing with his careers best character performs an emotional scene which is the surprise of the film and by far his careers best performance. Just for that one scene someone should give him an award. Kunal Khemu gets some funny tukbandi, a sample of which you must have seen in the trailer. Ajay Devgan and Shreyas Talpade are wasted as are the other smaller characters from the 1st installment. The dialogues and the actors camaraderie are the highlights of the film. I wish Rohit Shetty directs an action film soon and turn the Golmaal franchise into pure comedy. When he mixes comedy with action the final product leaves the viewers asking for more.

Final few words: If you laughed in the 1st one and didnt like the 2nd. G3 will entertain you in bits and pieces.

P.S. According to Daaga (Sanjay Misra) Diwali is spelt as DDLJ. Happy DDLJ!!!
