Pulkit and Yami are arguably decent actors with good screen presence. They are however stuck in a sinking spiral of mediocrity that refuses to let them grow as actors and threatens to erode any goodwill the audiences have had for them. Junooniyat , close on the heels of Sanam re, is yet another dismal offering from the duo where nothing works for them and us the audiences.

Pulkit, an army officer falls in love with a Punjabi girl, Yami, through a chance meeting. the love evolves into fights sobs. tears and eventually obsessive love that seemingly consumes the duo. Director Vivek Agnihotri , in principle trying to showcase this intensity, ends up making a sad mockery of emotions with his meandering script and obnoxiously hamming lead pair.

Even the rumoured affair between the lead pair in real world fails to make their chemistry spark. banal melodramatic and uninspiring the love story drags and drags endlessly making one yawn through the films running length. and curse the mortals who made the cacophony of a soundtrack in the film a success. seriously souch noise in the name of songs ?

to be fair, this could have been a decent story. what kills it's chances are the shoddy direction and a lack of vision. stay away. please.
