“Side-splitting jokes, Mila Kunis’ brilliant performance and the excellent chemistry between the leads compensate for an exhausted storyline. Overall, Friends with Benefits turns out to be a fairly engaging rom-com!”

One more movie that has a same 'been there done that' script. Just a few months ago we had the Ashton - Natalie Portman starrer No Strings attached. Now we have Friends with benefits with an agonizingly similar story. I guess the genre of romantic comedies has run out of new ideas.

The plot does not offer anything new other than the character's names and professions. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis bump into each other due to their professions. Both of them strike a chord and soon become best of friends as they find a common factor, that they both were dumped by their exes. Soon this friendship turns physical as they decide to satisfy each others needs while not get emotionally involved. While this works for some time, ultimately both of them fall in love causing confusion and drama.

To be fair to the makers, even though the script is mundane and been done a 1000 times probably, the movie never bores you. It is entertaining to watch the chemistry between Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. The comic timing is excellent. The execution of the screenplay is well done. All in all if I would not have watched 'No Strings attached' I would have probably appreciated this movie more.

Mila Kunis is one of the prime reasons that I could sit through this movie without getting bored. She acts naturally and delivers her dialogs with ease. To top it all she looks gorgeous on screen. Justin Timberlake is good but probably needs more work on his acting skills. He definitely does not over power his performance in the social network.

The writers could not come up with a out of the box story for this film. They played it safe with a tried and tested formula which could showcase two beautiful people. What the writers lacked, the director Will Gluck compensates. He does a good job of telling a story in an engrossing fashion thereby keeping the viewer interested.
